Magneto walked cautiously down the hallway through the old rundown mansion. It was literally infested with vermin of all sorts, the wood was run down and rotting, but it was their home and the guise of it being run down did fortify the assumption that no one inhabited the lowley place. Magnus saw that the hallway he was turning down was actually about to fall down on thier heads. That's a little too worn down.
Erik used his magnetism to pull metal from the surrounding area including the earth. He carefully molded the metal into a beam and magnetically/psionicly welded it into place over the area which was close to cave in. Having adverted catastrophy and savng the day Magneto continued along the path until he came to a solid metal door at the end of the hall. As he stepped up to the wall a pulsating red light illuminated his face and a low computerized voice was heard.
"Good Morning, Erik, was the recon mission sucessful?" As the voice spoke the wall in front of him opened into a large circular doorway through which Magnus carefully stepped through. Upon entering he saw the robotic form of a maid. This was Nanny, she was formerly the protector of Erik's youngest son, Charles, but as of lately Charles had demonstrated and ability to fend for himself.
"Yes, Nanny, it went exactly as planned. I feel we are quite safe at this location even though we are within one hundred miles of one of the horsemen. The sensors can't penetrate this area due to the major amounts of iron deposits in the area. So the only way we'd be found would be if someone visually saw us and with Blink providing our transit we've nothing to worry about with that." Erik said all of this as he settled down in his chair and began regarding the scanners.
Nanny wheeled up behind him and presented his usual hot tea with lemon. Magnus graciously accepted and set it down on the side table next to his helmet. "Thank you Nanny." Magneto replied as he focused his attention back on the monitors.

Rogue heard Nanny speaking to someone in the Main Room. The safe bet it was either her husband or her son, although the monitors were apt to draw any of the X-men without much else to do. She battled her curiosity and put the last of their meager possessions carefully where it belonged. A life on the run meant that the few possessions kept were treated with care. The last item left was one of her uniforms, Rogue declared the battle between curiosity and neatness a draw, and tossed the uniform into a corner. She could die pretty happy if wrinkles was the worst fate the outfit ultimately faced.
Nanny held a mismatched cup and saucer and Rogue could smell the lemon. She the took the cup and waved the robot away. Erik's attention was primarily on the monitors, but ever polite he said "Thank you Nanny," as he took the tea, setting absently on the table next to him.
"You're welcome, sugah," Rogue answered with a grin. The man didn't even blink, just reached over his head and ran his hand along her cheek, eyes still on the scanners. Everything looked clear to her, but she knew Erik needed to check it all himself. "Seen Blink around? The girl mentioned she wanted to talk," Rouge asked leaning over the back of the chair, resting her arms around his shoulders.

Magneto felt her magnetic pull the instant she walked into the room she knew she'd never sneak up on him. So it was more of a romantic phrase, "You're welcome Sugah," she said so sensually with her southern accent. He slowly reached his hand up and ran it slowly across her cheek, still watching the scanners his eyes unblinking.
"Seen Blink around? Girl mentioned she wanted to talk," She said resting her arms around his shoulders. Erik wondered as he felt her arms on him. If they were not in a world completely gone to hell and both of them not such extraordinary people, would they have become husband and wife? Their age differences was astounding, but Rogue genuinely loved him, in this place they seemd perfect for one another.
"Nanny, please scan the base grounds for Clarice." Magneto spoke sofly knowing the computer would hear him whether he whispered or screamed at the top of his lungs. The computer and scanners made a few beeping noises seeming to process the request. "Subject, Clarice, is not on the base grounds." Magneto tilted his head with a curious look to his face. "Then where is she?" Erik spoke slowly making sure his question was understood.
The computer agian beeped and scanned until it came up with an answer. "Scanners, indicate subject is not in North America. We cannot currently scan beyond this." Magneto sat up quickly in his chair and turned back to Rogue and stared into her shocked eyes.

"Scanners, indicate subject is not in North America. We cannot currently scan beyond this." Nanny announced matter of factly. Erik seemed as surprised as she did by the pronouncement. Which meant Blink wasn't on a mission or doing recon.
"Ah don' suppose she's managed to 'port to Europe?" Rogue asked without much hope. Clarice was a powerful and skilled teleporter, with the strength to move a number of people and the finesse to shift only part of an object, but the distance between continents was too much for her. That she didn't show up on the scanner was disturbing at the very least.
"Nanny, please scan again," Rogue asked. Maybe Blink had been in the middle of a 'port and couldn't show up on the scanners. Rogue was fuzzy on exactly how teleportation worked, it was possible that some time was spent in some unknown "other" place between Points A and B, and that place was inaccessible to Erik's computers. But Nanny again answered in the negative.
Erik was frantically working the computers, he took the loss of any X-man personally and had since the murder of the Scarlet Witch nearly 15 years ago. "Maybe she lost her commlink and it got destroyed?" It was not a likely senario, her husband had been know to publically dress down anyone who was careless with equipment. The other possiblity was that Blink had been killed or worse, captured by one of Apocalypse's men. Clarice had spent too much time in the Pens already.
Rogue pointed to one of the screens. "Looks like Bishop's online, maybe he knows something?" With a final brush of her hand on Erik's face, Rogue removed the gloves from her belt. Gloves on, home-time was over and it was time to get to work.

Storm entered the mansion. It was run down something really bad. Debris lay everywhere. Who had this belonged to? The walls were falling apart. Dust lay everywhere, yet, someone must be here. A man wouldn't just walk into a building that is falling apart. She watched him repair the ceiling and keep walking, entering a room with a robot and a woman with white streak in her hair. She got a glimpse of the man's face. Was that Erik? It couldn't have been, he would never come here.
Ororo carefully walked into the room, she didn't care if anyone attacked her, she was ready with a windstorm that would freeze the most hottest part on the earth. "Erik... Erik is that you?" Ororo said, circling the man to see his face. She stopped in front of him. She saw them both looking at her. Maybe this was the wrong place after all. "I'm sorry, i'll just be going now.." Ororo said as she started to back out of the room. Oddly, this room looked the best out of the rest. Maybe there was people living here.
"I heard you talk of a person called 'Clarice', would they happen to be a young girl who has fair pink skin, and is a bit short, pink hair?'' Ororo asked. "If it is, then I have seen them roaming around from time to time just around the place every now and again. I don't know where they are now though" she said as she turned back.

Bishop had tried calling through to the headquarters that Magneto was at, but the computer was busy, thus disallowing his calls to get through. The quickest thing to do was to jump into one of the mini jets and fly to him. The force of acceleration the jets gave sent Bishop into the back of his seat, it only took a few minutes for him to arrive - he could have driven there but something felt uneasy within Bishop, something wasn't right.
The mansion that he now stood before was fairly much like the one he had just left, rotten, run down and relic. He entered the building with a feeling of Deju-Vu and proceeded towards the main communications room, where Magneto would most likely be. Sure enough as he entered there were three people there, Magneto, Rogue and Storm - although her physical looks were different from how he remembered her in the other timeline.
"Blink's not answeri..." before Bishop could even finish the sentence all three looked at him, their faces revealed that they already knew. It was the a face that met somewhere in between panic, worry and helplessness. "The last I know she was in the streets surrounding Apocalypse's headquarters." The voice of Bishop proved he was of some sort of military background, he spoke directly, firmly and deeply.
I don't like this, not one bit Bishop thought, his stomach feeling empty with the knowledge that something was not right.

Rogue fiinished pulling on her gloves, noting that Bishop was on his way, when a voice called out "Erik...Erik is that you?" A striking black woman was standing near the door, and Rogue first thought was that they would have to find yet another base. Erik, either distracted by Clarice's disappearence or familar with the woman, did nothing. The woman was talking about seeing Clarice around the area, when Bishop walked in.
Even he seemed to recognize the strange woman standing there, since he also had no reaction to her presence. Bishop added his report about Blink, "The last I know she was in the streets surrounding Apocalypse's headquarters."
Rogue, confused, asked, "What was she doin' there of all places? Especially on her own?" She didn't look at Erik, fearing he had sent on some mission or other. She did turn to the interloper, "And just who the hell are you and how'd ya get past our security systems?" she demanded.

Erik sat staring at the monitors as he registered the two new people stepped into the room. He was alerted to thier pressence long before they arrived both magnetically and by the sensor array surrounding the base. As the others shared words he sat, still thinking his way arround what had occured trying to find a solution. He alone could waltz into nearly anywhere he flet like unscathed, but to take an entire team into Apocalypse's stronghold and carry out a possibly wounded Blink. That was not entirely plausable. We can't even be sure that's where she's being held.
Magneto was pulled from his thoughts and plans by the sound of his wife raising her voice. "And just who the hell are you and how'd ya get past our security systems?" She said without a hint of the southern charm he so enjoyed from her. Erik decided to step in before the confrontation got ugly, correction uglier.
"Dear, this is Lucas, a recently added associate of ours, though he has been working on his own as of lately." He scanned the room turning to make eye contact with Storm. "It great to have you back Ororo, though its a shame that the circumstances are not better." He looked to them all agian. "We need to get verification of Clarice's location, before we can even begin a rescue effort." Magneto said as he began retrieving information from the computer about Blink's last know whereabouts.
Erik hung his head as he waited for the computer's results. We really really need a telepath, especially in times like these. The computer beeped and comfirmed thier fears Blink's last known location was within Apocalypse's territory, which stands to reason she was being held in Apocalypse's stronghold.

"Dear, this is Lucas, a recently added associate of ours, though he has been working on his own as of lately," Magneto said gently. Rogue made a mental note to speak to him later--she knew Bishop was an X-man; it was the old girlfriend who waltzed through the security system she didn't know.
They all waited for the computer for update them on Clarice's last known location, Rogue hoping for all their sakes that it was somewhere innocuous, like Kennebunkport or Bangor. But the computer verified that Clarice had been lurking near Apocalypse's Stronghold immediately before going off-line.
"Well," Ropgue drawled, "we'd best find out if any of our contacts saw Blink in the area or know what exactly happened. Best to go in prepared." She turned a glare at her husband, "And don't you dare even think of goin' in their alone."

Everything was starting to come together as the information arrived about Blink's whereabouts. After the confirmation Rogue spoke to the group, "we'd best find out if any of our contacts saw Blink in the area or know what exactly happened. Best to go in prepared." She then glared at Magneto, "And don't you dare even think of goin' in their alone." Magneto smiled back at his wife. Dear god Rogue, have you been stealing telepath's powers or something. Erik pivoted around in his chair to face the others. He then stood to address them all eye to eye.
Magneto nodded to Rogue, "Yes, we do need to contact our opperatives in the area, and while we wait for thier information we should be devising a plan to release Clarice as well as mobilizing our forces to head that direction." Erik headed toward the exit of the room. He turnee back to look at the others. "I suggest you all go and prepare yourselves and we will meet back here in thirty minutes."

Exodus flew effortlessly through the sky. He hated his location. He knew this is where a Horseman of Apocalypse resided. Exodus waited anxiously for the day he would be able to enact his revenge upon Apocalypse and his regime. But he knew it would take time. Until then he knew that he would have to hold strong to his alliance with Magneto. No matter how much he may have disliked the idea forming this alliance, he knew that this was his only hope. With a powerful ally such as Magneto and his X-men, nothing was impossible. Not even the defeat of Apocalypse himself.
It was the X-men though that bothered Exodus moreso then Magneto.
"How can he put so much faith into them, when they are so weak?" Exodus asked himself. "Perhaps there is more to them then even I know. Thats Magnus for you, he can make lions out of mice." Exodus said to himself.
He would have to watch the X-men though. They were completely devoted to Magneto as the Horsemen were to Apocalypse. When Apocalypse was gone, Magneto would be the biggest threat to him. Exodus was going to make sure that if he destroyed one tyrant, that another wouldn't take its place. The X-men could easily become the new Horsemen if Magneto gained power. And this was something that Exodus couldn't allow. After all, Exodus had his own plans for world domination. Exodus continued flying until he came to the X-Mansion. It was in shambles, but Exodus knew his way. He made his way to Magneto. It had been weeks since they had seen each other or even communicated. Being an unofficial/reserve member of the X-men granted him this right. He didn't have to neceesarily answer to Magneto, nor did he have to stay at the X-mansion. He was free to roam the lands. But, when it came to dealing with Apocalypse directly, Exodus was united with Magneto.
"So Magnus, have you decided to finally launch your attack against Apocalypse? Or do you still lie in wait, hoping for Apocalypse to make the first move?" Exodus said sarcastically. Being a reserve member granted him that right as well.

Erik spoke to his wife though he quickly silenced himself as they heard the doorway open yet agian. Well, lots of visitors today. The group turned to look as the mutant known as Exodus entered the war room. Magneto knew his wife couldn't stand Exodus she had always felt that he was far too arrogant for his own good, though she didn't use those exact words.
They all watched his approach, hoping he had brought news of Clarice. Which they all desperately needed. Exodus as usual was more than willing to dissapoint.
"So Magnus, have you decided to finally launch your attack against Apocalypse? Or do you still lie in wait, hoping for Apocalypse to make the first move?" Exodus said snidely as he glided into the room.
Erik could literaly feel his wife's temper flaring up beside him. So let's see Bennett who would you rather have bust your ass, me or Rogue? I'm sure to be more gentle than she. Erik glared at Exodus anger and rage clear in his eyes.
"Bennett," Magneto growled, "Now is not the time for you so show your impressive powers of ignorance." Erik continued, "We are missing Clarice and she is most likely a captive of Apocalypse." Magneto pointed at Bennett, wishing to push all the iron out of his body, but managed to control his anger despite the circumstances. "If you are not here to help us rescue her then I ask that you quickly leave, before you are excorted out." Magneto looked sideways and smiled to his more than eager wife.

Rogue was mentally running through her pre-mission To-do list when a voice broke in, "So Magnus, have you decided to finally launch your attack against Apocalypse? Or do you still lie in wait, hoping for Apocalypse to make the first move?" Rogue stiffened at the sneering voice of the former Horseman. His arrogance grated on her, and she didn't trust him at all. He'd switched sides once, he certainly knew how it was done. That he'd nearly bested Erik in battle didn't endear the frenchman to her either.
"Bennett," Magneto answered, "Now is not the time for you so show your impressive powers of ignorance. We are missing Clarice and she is most likely a captive of Apocalypse." Magneto pointed at Bennett, and Rogue could see how angry her husband was. "If you are not here to help us rescue her then I ask that you quickly leave, before you are escorted out." Erik met her eyes and smiled. Love you too, sugah, she thought. Erik was fully aware of her feelings toward the psion, although he disagreed with her opinion that the man's attitude outweighed his usefulness. Rogue had argued that Exodus' view of human/mutant relations veered too closely toward Apocalypse's, and too far from Erik's inherited dream of peace.

Exodus could sense that hate from both Rogue and Magneto..and deep down, he loved it. He knew that they would rather see his head on a pike rather then among their ranks, but for now, cooperation was necessary.
"Clarice?" Exodus said curiously. The name rang a bell. He thought for a moment. Then he remebered. "Oh yes, the pink excuse for a teleporter? Sadly, I regret to inform you that I have no news of her whereabouts." he said sarcastically. "However, from what I've heard, Apocalypse and his Horsemen have all gathered together in his realm for reasons unknown. But, during my travels, I've heard that Apocalypse has caught wind of some sort of crystal. One that he plans to use to make himself even more powerful then he already is. If this is true and Apocalypse gets the crystal...well I'm sure that you can imagine what would happen to us. So, with that said, what are your "orders". Might I suggest some sort of counter attack. With all of the Horsemen away from their respective territories, now would be a good time to do some damage." Exodus waited for a reply. He then turned towards Rogue, sensing her hate. "Well I see Rogue that pregnancy has been no hindrance on your physical conditioning. Tell me, how is the little lad doing?"
(Author's Note: I'm not sure if Exodus knowing about Apocalypse's plans is ok. If I need to change anything, just let me know. Oh, and what do I put to let others know that i need to make an announcement rather then labeling it Author's Note?)

Erik shook his head, "Bennett, if we are to escape after we "counter attack" we'll need Blink to help us escape. At least she doesn't suffer from teleportation impotence," Magneto smiled, "she can teleport the entire team anytime to any place and its not just pot luck for her." Magneto looked around to his compatriots, suddenly remembering something important. "Where's Shiro?"
A few moments later the computer answered his question,"Dammit can no one follow orders!!" Erik screamed as he punched the console. Shiro has gone to rescue her already, he stands no chance of succeeding alone. He looked up to everyone. "Okay people we leave now! First we rescue Blink, then we deal out some major damage to the facility where she's being held." Magneto headed out the door, with others soon to follow
