Holocaust sat on his dark throne in the midst of his palace in what had once been the city known as San Francisco and plotted. Even now, years after his takeover, he still very much enjoyed the daily task of ruling over the realm that was his to command.
There was a human nest in the ruins of Los Angeles he was observing via a large screen. He had discovered the nest almost immediately after his takeover, but unlike other human nests, he had chosen to spare this one.
And now, years later, he would be rewarded for his mercy with a great deal of pleasure. Because he had finally decided that the humans were as numerous and as strong as they were going to get, just as Holocaust had hoped. And he would get a great deal of amusement from wiping them all out.
"Have the First Legion readied for combat." he ordered one of his advisors. "I will accompany them myself." And when this was done, when the days sport was over, there would be NO humans left within his borders save those within his concentration camps, and his realm would be perfect. He'd be bored then, but not for long. He knew His Father would call on him for some service or the other before long. He hoped it would be soon.
For the meantime, he prepared for the slaughter. This was his time.
The Time of the Holocaust.

Of all his horsemen it was Holocaust that had been most successful at eliminating human resistance within their realm, even allowing a group of humans to stay alive for longer - he played with them until finally he knew it was their time. It was time that the humans were wiped out from Holocaust's realm and it be completely under the control of Apocalypse and his horsemen.
Although Apocalypse sat within his stronghold he sent a radio message to Holocaust.
"If any survive then you have not completed your task" Apocalypse commanded bluntly, as with many of the orders he gave. Apocalypse moved out towards the viewing platform of his stronghold, taking in the sight of the once proud New York city he growled at the disgusting run down look of it all, it will be rebuilt once there is no more resistance Apocalypse thought, the architecture that Apocalypse used was resemblant of the old Egyptian kings however there was a technology found within it that surpassed all of the present days technology.
Apocalypse awaited Holocaust's report.

Holocaust recieved the message and thought for a moment. It was a pity, he thought. He had been hoping to spare maybe a few humans and see if they could rebuild so he could crush them. For the brifest fraction of a second he considered disobeying his father. Then he left, to destroy the humans.
He walked down the corridors of his own palace and threw open the doors, to look at the assembled First Legion below. More than one hundred powerful deadly mutants. There had to be at least one thousand humans in this single nest. He knew they had gathered weapons, supplies, and even, reportedly, a tank or two that had survived the takeover.
They didn't stand a chance.
